My story is very short and simple to tell. I have overcome violence by never having to deal with it. I have never been hurt, violated, abused, beaten, molested, burned or scarred. I have a wonderful family and incredible friends and the world I live in, at the tender age of 18, has been a safe one. After listening to Eve speak, or rather command a rally at UCSB last night I am even more thankful of my luck and love thus far in life. I have never known what it feels like to not be loved. While some may think that because of my lack of experience I may not identify with the stories that Eve spoke of, and that they might not effect me as much as a rape survivor. However as Eve shared the stories of Vagina Warriors all over the world I was almost moved to tears because I can not imagine living in that kind of fear and daily terror. I would like to take this chance to thank first of all my parents, for watching over me, and secondly Eve, for indirectly showing me just how lucky I am, and how thankful I should be. And please come back to our campus whenever it is humanly possible Eve. You are an absolute force of nature, or rather, an Emotional Creature and we love you for it!
