As the runner up on Rebel Billionaire, Sara received a $750,000 check from Branson to pursue her dream to start a foundation to empower women. Since launching the Sara Blakely Foundation in late 2006, Sara has contributed well over a million dollars to causes that support women.
On a mission to give better underwear options to even more women, Sara launched ASSETS by Sara Blakely, a new shapewear brand at Target and other specialty retailers, which has enabled Sara to give back. A portion of every SPANX and ASSETS purchase goes to The Sara Blakely Foundation and other causes dedicated to supporting and empowering women around the world.
