Congo Update: City Of Joy and The Stop Raping Our Greatest Resource Campaign

In its third year, V-Day's Stop Raping Our Greatest Resource Campaign: Power to the Women and Girls of the Democratic Republic of Congo campaign has grown into an unstoppable force, driven by thousands of women on the ground and supported by women and men around the world who are dedicated to raising awareness about and building the will to end the brutal violence being perpetrated against Congolese women and girls. Over the last year of the campaign we have seen many victories, from the construction of the City of Joy to the debut of The Vagina Monologues in Goma and Bukavu. You, our valued activists, are making this campaign possible!

V-Day Congo Director Continues to Bring The Vagina Monologues to the DRC

Following a sold-out show and incredible audience reaction from the first two performances of The Vagina Monologues in Goma, DRC, V-Day Congo Director Christine Schuler Deschryver brought the play to Bukavu, the capital of South Kivu and future home of the City of Joy. The events continued to bring hundreds of women and men together and raised significant awareness for V-Day's Congo Campaign, Stop Raping Our Greatest Resource: Power to the Women and Girls of the DRC.
