Public Launch of ONE BILLION RISING in Berkeley

An extraordinary all-volunteer group of Bay Area activists, performers, and healers have organized a launch event for ONE BILLION RISING in Berkeley on Sunday evening, June 24th. Everyone is welcome at this free event taking place at the Civic Center Park (MLK @ Allston Way - across from Berkeley High School). The event will feature dance, spoken word, drumming, chanting, martial arts, singing, children's activities and more. Eve will be speaking and celebrating this participatory community ritual to express our collective outrage and vision related to ending gender violence.
