Here is a look at our Board Report recapping our work from July 1, 2022 – the present.
This year, V-Day, the global movement working to end violence against women, gender expansive people, girls and the Earth, commemorates V25, its twenty-fifth anniversary of activism, advocacy and organizing led by survivors, artists and activists around the world.
For 25 years, V-Day has worked at the intersection of arts and activism to shatter taboos, create space for women and the most marginalized, and initiate community-led culture and change. Over $120 million dollars has been raised for grassroots anti-violence groups, rape crisis centers, domestic violence shelters, and safe houses, shattering taboos and transforming the way activists make change in their communities. From the City of Joy and V-World Farm in Congo to the V-Day Safe House for the Girls in Kenya, VOICES to One Billion Rising, the Beyond Incarceration Project to the Dismantle Patriarchy Contest, V has been the thread that ties all of our work together, holding the larger vision, pushing us forward, and fiercely believing that together we can create a world free of violence.
Join us. Donate today so that we can keep fighting for a world where all women, girls, and the Earth thrive instead of merely survive.
