With Gratitude for Our Shared Vision to End Violence Against Women, Gender Expansive People & the Earth

These past weeks of non-stop news surrounding the Epstein files have deeply impacted countless survivors. Our founder, author and activist V (formerly Eve Ensler), speaks directly into this moment in her latest piece for The Guardian: “If Epstein’s survivors don’t receive justice that is a ticking timebomb: Millions of sexual violence survivors will not live a day longer with this torturous injustice.”

V writes: “Once you have been raped you have an aura, a stamp of brokenness that until you have begun to heal, constantly attracts more abusers who can smell your vulnerability and do their best to exploit it. It is clear in all the reports coming out that Epstein and Maxwell conducted interviews with each young woman to assess the degree of this brokenness and exploitability. Or maybe the attack was brought on by living in America, a country currently led by a president, an adjudicated rapist, a man who openly hates women, living in a zone caught in a childhood sexual abuse seizure.

There is another timebomb about to explode and it will if there is no accountability or justice for the Epstein victims. This time it will be directed outward. It will be the alchemized rage of millions of survivors, who have had enough, who cannot and will not live a day longer with this torturous injustice.”

To the Epstein survivors who continue to speak, resist, and insist on justice: thank you. Your courage, your clarity, and your refusal to be silenced move us. V-Day was born from the untold stories of women. Our global sisterhood is unbreakable. We stand with you — Until The Violence Stops.

As we write, survivors, artists and activists in communities around the world are bringing the 2026 theme — RISE FOR OUR BODIES, OUR EARTH, OUR FUTURE — to life. Through a wave of launch events, they are setting the stage for a powerful 14th year of One Billion Rising.

From January through April, they will work to transform the architectures of violence — economic and political, class and race, cultural and religious — and disrupt the systems that violate, extract, diminish, exclude, and destroy. Through art and education, listening and solidarity, dialogue and reflection, rituals and storytelling, they will rise to build new realities where people reclaim their bodies, their agency, and their communities.

We invite you to celebrate and support this work — and our shared vision for a world free from violence. A world where all women, gender expansive people, girls, and the Earth thrive, rising in a community of fierce solidarity.

This giving season, support V-Day, the global activist movement to end violence against all women, gender expansive people, girls, and the Earth.
