The Nigerian Government has the power to completely suppress freedom of speech by arresting and jailing journalists, activist and protesters, as well as by also controlling the internet. She founded, A Little Piece of Light, the non-profit, which bears the same name as her book, both created out of her lived experience of 27 years of incarceration. We were so hopeful and excited about the vaccines being administered out here in the free world. This meant that we were somewhat protected from this deadly virus that had taken the lives of too many precious souls.
